checking with latencymon says all green, with DirectX-related and TCP/IP drivers being the slowest "use fixed buffer size" for EW Play (a suggestion from EW themselves concerning CPU spikes under FL) The CPU Meter in Fruity is it 40-50% and RAM at ~5000MB at that point.īy now, I've spent more time on internet research than actual music production, so here is what I've tried so far: At some point, when more and more comes together, the playback begins to stutter and lag like hell, with cracks and whatnot. So this is what happens: I start a new project from scratch, load some instances of EW Play (one for short strings, one for choir, one for percussion etc.) and start writing. I should mention that I rely heavily on the latest EW Libraries and Play, which is basically the only plugin I use (intrument-wise anyways) for my current projects. I recently came back to composing with FL Studio and have ran into an absolutely frustrating problem. I'm kinda new to reddit and posting stuff, so please bear with me if I messed up somehow.
